Scott and Emily live locally in Arrowtown, raising their family of two girls who attend the local Arrowtown School & Preschool. They love the amazing tight knit community, the entrepreneurial spirit of its inhabitants and of course the stunning natural surroundings, being keen snowboarders in the winter and enjoying caravanning in the summer. Their daughters are discerning fluffy consumers and can attest to the high quality of the ones at The Dishery!

Scott & Emily have operated a hospitality business at the Dudley's Cottage Precinct since 2010 with the aim of preserving this stunning piece of historic Arrowtown, opening it up for more people to enjoy and to build a lasting legacy for their daughters and their descendents. They are now excited to bring you The Dishery Bistro - created from their experience of what they love about restaurants they have visited in New Zealand, New York, Dubai and London.

Scott has a 20 year+ history owning and running hospitality businesses in the Queenstown area, starting with his first bar in his 20s and now owning Tanoshi & Tanoshi Iko Restaurants in Queenstown. He is also a founding shareholder in Good Group Hospitality (Queenstown and Auckland) which includes restaurants Botswana Butchery, White & Wongs and Harbourside

TOM TULK - CHEF

Meet Tom Tulk, Chef Extraordinaire and creator of many of our dishes that are taking Arrowtown by storm.

Tom started cooking at just 15 years of age working at Little Alices in his hometown of Metung, Victoria. He then held various roles in Melbourne's dining scene before spending 4 years as Head Chef at the Maruia Hot Springs in New Zealand. After working at Amisfield Bistro in Queenstown he made the move to The Dishery in late 2020 and we are very happy to have him onboard as part of the team.

What he loves about being a chef is that he gets to share his passion with people. He enjoys taking inspiration from nature in his culinary creations. Outside of work you can find Tom fully indulging in the outdoors lifestyle that Queenstown and Arrowtown provides, from climbing to mountain biking to running.

His favourite Dishery dish is the Mushroom & Black Garlic Gnocchi and favourite dish from another local establishment is the Eel on Vogels from Amisfield Bistro.

STEF KRISNER - RESTAURANT MANAGER

Hailing originally from Austria, Stef got into hospitality because of her love for people and she loves that food & beverage is always changing & developing. Coming to us after leading the Front of House team at the Jacks Point Clubhouse, she loves the creativity & passion hospo professionals put into developing new dishes and drinks.

Outside of work Stef enjoys mountaineering & mountain biking and will often head off after work into the hills around Arrowtown. Her favourite Dishery Dish is the Mushroom & Black Garlic Gnocchi and she'd also like to shout out to the team at Aosta Arrowtown for their sensational Paua Pappardelle.

FLOYD LYTTLE - CHEF

The Dishery Chef, Floyd Lyttle, is a superstar in the making. Starting work in the kitchens of Nelson, New Zealand at the tender age of 13, he left school at 15 to pursue his passion. He spent 2 years at Roots Restaurant (Cuisine 3 hats) in Lyttleton as Chef de Partie and then headed overseas to gain culinary experience from around the world. Two years as Chef at the Marché Moderne in California, followed by Sous Chef at the London Project in Dubai and then a stint at a Michelin star restaurant in Norway before heading for home due to the Covid Pandemic. The world's loss is The Dishery's gain!

 

Floyd loves the intensity and drive of being a chef and his favourite thing about Arrowtown is its stunning natural beauty. Outside of work you can find him doing some pretty serious mountain biking or improving his skills on the golf course. His favourite Dishery Dish is the Black Garlic Gnocchi and top rated at another local restaurant is the Mushroom Dish from Amisfield Restaurant.

LISA NATALIE - FRONT OF HOUSE

Come and have a coffee at The Dishery made by one of the best - Lisa. She makes amazing smoothies too!⁠

Originally from the Waitaki, Lisa started out in hospo because she loves people and she loves good coffee! She's been a friendly face to many of our locals for quite a few years, at Airspresso & The Chop Shop Food Merchants, before coming to The Dishery as one of our founding front of house team members. She loves to craft a product for people that is exactly what they ask for.⁠

Outside of work she is Mum to Ellie, loves to cook for her friends and get involved in anything outdoors. She loves Arrowtown for its sense of community, the beautiful family feel and of course the amazing views. Her favourite Dishery Dish is the The Chorizo Hash and her fav from another local eatery is the Chicken Nasi Goreng from @thechopshopfoodmerchants. Thanks for being part of our team Lisa!
